Premium Access includes the following:- Chapter guides: Each chapter guide provides learners with a detailed description of how to progress through the Sett i gang curriculum, including the printed textbook and workbook, the free online resources, and the premium access materials.
- Self-correcting exercises from the textbook and the workbook: Premium Access includes approximately 150 self-correcting exercises from the textbook and the workbook. Most of the exercises are in their original form, but some have been edited slightly for the online environment.
- Extra self-correcting exercises: In addition to exercises from the textbook and workbook, there are approximately 50 additional self-correcting exercises. Many of these exercises will focus on listening and pronunciation since self-study learners may not have as many opportunities to hear and speak Norwegian.
- Forum exercises: Premium access subscribers will be able to post 2-3 writing and speaking assignments per chapter to an online forum. While these forum exercises will not be corrected, the learners can compare their posts to a model provided by a native speaker and to the posts submitted by other students. For the speaking assignments, the learners will be able to record their own voices, listen to their recordings, and save them in the online forum. Most newer computers have a microphone built into the screen that works well for these assignments, but students can also use any type of inexpensive headset microphone.
- Chapter assessments: At the end of each chapter, learners can take a self-correcting test on the content and grammar to see whether they have mastered the material before going on to the next chapter. The tests will focus on vocabulary and grammar.
Premium Access does not include:- An instructor: Premium Access is not a course led by an instructor. Premium access provides only access to self-correcting self-study materials.
