Reading Guides

For the past several years, we have used the children’s book Kurt Quo Vadis in third semester Norwegian and the novel Naiv.Super in fourth semester Norwegian. Students at the intermediate level enjoy and benefit from reading authentic texts and good narratives, and both of these books by Erlend Loe provide interesting stories, everyday vocabulary, and a wide range of topics to discuss. There are also audio books available for both books.

Over the years, Nancy and Kari have developed a set of materials to use with these books. This summer, they are editing the materials and plan to release a reading guide for Kurt Quo Vadis on October 7, 2010 and a reading guide for Naiv.Super on Feb. 15, 2010. The titles and prices of the books will be announced in October.
